Women empowerment

To improve the life status of women, we realized that first of all we need to build their financial and social strength. To achieve this, we at One Little Light together with the mothers of the children benefiting them with our Women Empowerment program. Under this program, a few activities have been initiated including; sewing center and women entrepreneurship. This has also enabled the creation of a peer group for the women in the community to receive not only training and education on various subjects but also a place to socialize with other women.

This program will be helpful for increasing the confidence, unity, social awareness, understanding and leadership qualities among women. Skill development, capabilities enhancement and development of their living standard and livelihood are the important concerns which will be able to remove the poverty. Villagers will be more educated, development of the foundation education among children will be done, and last but not the least child marriage, dowry system and social evils will be ended. ​
